Support and promotion

INS ILLA DELS BANYOLS MEASURES TO SUPPORT, PROMOTE AND RECOGNISE STAFF MOBILITY:

Support and promotion of staff mobility:

  • INS Illa dels Banyols attaches great importance to support and promote teaching staff mobility and exchange projects. Consequently, information on staff mobility is fully provided and enhanced at different staff meetings and also spread to the Heads of each Department for further discussion. Once the information is given, and staff enquires further about it, the International Mobility Office organises seminars to give in-depth information. Furthermore, we also have a specific section on our website  where we regularly publish our experiences on staff exchanges and their execution, including visual information and multimedia files.
  • Another measure adopted by our institution to support and promote staff mobility is by the effective use of opinion surveys. We get participants to fill in a questionnaire the beginning and at the end of the mobility period. This resource allows us to examine in an unbiased way a number of aspects related to the mobility activities we organise, and thus formulate proposals for improvement. Teachers, in turn, are left to reflect on the benefits of their training experience abroad.

Recognition of staff mobility activities:

  • INS Illa dels Banyols ensures that staff are given recognition for their teaching and training activities undertaken during the mobility period, based on a partnership. In order to record knowledge and skills acquired in another European country, our institution issues an official certificate, signed by the Principal, showing the following data: participant’s name, place, dates of the mobility period, and a comprehensive description of the activity. Whenever possible, we also ask the HEI partner to issue a Certificate of Participation.

INS ILLA DELS BANYOLS MEASURES TO SUPPORT, PROMOTE AND RECOGNISE THE PARTICIPATION OF STAFF AND STUDENTS IN EUROPEAN AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION PROJECTS UNDER THE PROGRAMME

We are currently taking part in two mobility programmes organised by the Regional Ministry of Education: the ‘Consortium’ which facilitates placements for students and teachers in European countries where the Ministry has collaboration agreements, and the ‘Mobility Net for International Cooperation’ which gives full guidance to VET centres engaged in European and international cooperation projects. Likewise, the Erasmus+ Programme promotes staff and students mobility and it opens doors to learning and working in Europe.

Support and promotion of staff and students mobility under the E+ Programme

  • All these mobility programmes are made public to all members of our institution and promoted through regular publications on the website’s institution.
  • Project results are also published on the website in order to provide a detailed description of mobility projects under the Programme.
  • The International Mobility Office facilitates the necessary permits required for different project activities.
  • A substitute teacher covers the working timetable of the teacher who is taking part in a mobility programme.
  • Staff placements are primarily scheduled in June and July, when classes are finished and there is less academic activity.

Recognition of staff and students mobility under the E+ Programme:

  • Recognition of staff and students achievements during the mobility period is documented in the EUROPASS MOBILITY. We proceed as follows: our Mobility Coordinator accesses the application and fills in the Europass Mobility. The document is completed and validated by the tutor or Mobility Coordinator at the receiving institution. Then, we send it to the Spanish National Agency (SEPIE) for its final verification. Once this is done, staff and students can easily download their Europass Mobility in Spanish or English.
